Work

I am a 34 year old Network and Security Administrator working for Ravensbourne College where I recently worked with my team to design and deploy a brand new network for our new building on the Greenwich Peninsula.
This network supports over 3000 users, including staff and students, additionally supporting commercial events through this and a guest network I deployed.
Out network is designed to be able to let as many different user owned and college owned devices as possible connect whilst keeping the network safe and secure for it’s users.

Personal

I sing and play guitar both in my band Morton’s Toe and solo under my own name.

I’m interested in design, psychology, sociology and the future of technology within people’s lives. Which I partly blog about at http://www.webheat.co.uk

I’m passionate about photography and love shooting gigs and candid portraits. Some examples of my photos can be found on my Flickr feed along with some random photos too.

I produce a cygwin based OpenSSH Server for Windows (with client tools too) at http://opensshforwindows.webheat.co.uk this tool is now referenced in VMWare admin documentation produced by VMWare http://www.vmware.com/support/developer/studio/studio10/studio_adminguide.pdf

I’ve also appeared in a TV ident after being approached quite randomly at an ice rink for my birthday.
